Ismi Nama Laila AlQadr aka Nancy Lee Destiny an American Muslim living in New York, alone. Perhaps one day I may
find an Arabian Knight, lol to share life with and enhance my life. Until then, my life is spankin', I'm pleased with my life~
I had my first Shahada April 2003 in Montreal Canada at a wonderful mosque, Islamic Center of Quebec. It is about an hour from
my home in the Adirondacks of upper New York, just below the Canadian border.
I had my second Shahada in Cairo Egypt 2005 at the Al-Azhar Mosque. That was truly a delight for me.
I was born in Maryland 1963, and I was raised as a non-muslim. After 911 I did a newspaper article on the 3 top religions,
Islam was number two. As I did my research,I grew more interested in Islam and the Arabic language. Long story, short story...
I decided Islam was the religion for me. I did more studying and had my Shahada April 2003.
Learning Tolerance:
I was shocked when people who had known me for years and all my life had said to me, "I can't believe your so
stupid, why do you want to be in a religion that is all N---ers." Oh my God I can't believe your so ignorant was my reaction
and what I said. It was the first thing that came out of my mouth as it hung open. Then when people who I have known for
numerous years had seen me but from the back only in my Abaya and Hijab whispered loud enough for me to hear their nasty little
crap coming out of their ignorant mouths, I turned around and starred at first, saying nothing, those same people said with a screech,
"Oh my God Nancy I didn't know it was you."
I said to them, "Does that make a difference now?" I still get that even now after 6 years. But I have learned to handle it differently.
Instead of taking it personally, I have learned to think at it like this: They are ignorant, so I take the time to talk about it to them,
if they allow me.
I have been learning to speak and write Arabic. I teach myselfwith books, cd's, dvd's. It is now
easier than before with my ipod itouch. It has great applications on it to learn Arabic more easier, more quickly.
Or maybe it is not that it is the ipod but after 6 yrs I am learning better, more quickly. I remember when I first started
learning Arabic, lol. It took my 45 minutes to say my prayers, Al Fatiha in Arabic. I must have sounded so gay, lol.
I've came a long way since then, and I am going to keep going until I can teach it. Ana hub Arabi, awi awi awi~

Inspiration & Birth:
One
day I was
watching CNN, sipping tea, and pondering why is it that we
never hear the positive side of Islam ? Or why is it that we rarely
hear the positive side of anything for that matter ?
How is it that a small minority of Muslims always
receive such a huge personification of reality in
Islam ?
When the fact is the media's portrayal of Islam
is so far from the truth.
The majority of Muslims
believe in peace and tolerance.
However, what truly got me motivated in this
quest for educating people of Islam & Muslims true foundations, and spreading the peace of Islam is when
time and time again I got asked and accused of by non-Muslims the following falsities..."How can you be a true
American & be a good Muslim whwn you don't believe in God &
approve of killing innocent people & you have no value for human
lives?"
Wow! Although I tried not to take it personally, it hurt
me personally, my heart sank. But I got past it & began my quest, my
destiny...™Heart Of Islam...Peace
, aka ™HOI, and spreading the peace, the message~
I am sure my new exclusive line will be very popular
with Muslims in America as well as Muslims around the world,
because it has no negative side to spreading the peace, educating people,showing Muslim pride, rather than sitting
quietly behind the scenes just shrugging off the negative images of Islam as non-sense. This product line, the books, the entire
idea is my chance to set the record straight about Islam, about Muslims, about unity, tolerance, and peace~
You too can take an active role in helping to educate the ignorant, and spread the peace of Islam world wide~
Speak out loud and be heard as a positive voice of Islam. What a great way to help spread Allah's word. It has been my experience
that when people see me wearing something that says ™Heart of Islam...Peace, people see it and ask me questions or make comments.
This allows me to stop and talk to them, without any initiative on my part. Other people start the conversations and I enjoy
talking back with them, educating them, showing them a side of Islam they just were not aware of.
Even if you buy nothing from this website, spread the peace, spread the message...Min fadlak~
